By Design Concrete and Paving’s gold award was for the work on the Mangere Recreational Centre, which included several different concrete features including concrete structures and a mixture of permeable paving and a permeable pebble and resin surface finisher.

“We were able to make a large proportion of the area solid for walking on and at the same time, the concrete is able to breathe. We brought all of these different features together and the resulting aesthetic looks so good.”

The permeable product used on this project is Permeable Concrete (Permcon) NZ’s unique two product permeable concrete system, developed specifically for the New Zealand market.

Our By Design Concrete and Paving teams were privileged to be a part of this stunning, architecturally designed home, high in the hills of Solway at Whitford. The brief from our clients was to follow the contours of the property, produce and expose their aggregate concrete driveway with clean lines, and ensure that the project will stand the test of time.

West Street 70’s Pukekohe, Auckland

The By Design Concrete and Paving team stepped back in time to create this retro driveway, paths and patio area.

The new build retro style home sits beautifully alongside this stunningly crafted driveway. The stone slabs that made up the driveway area and back entertainment area were custom-made for this project, creating this one-off slabs on mortar look.

The slabs were then grouted and sealed preserving the integrity of the product. The complementary kerbing, grassed areas, and vehicle crossing were also part of the project undertaken by our stonemason and concrete teams.

in 2019 by Design Concrete and paving entered this stunning project into the landscape of distinction awards and we were privilege to win a bronze award for this amazing project!!

TUCKED BEHIND THIS STUNNING BLOCK FENCE

By Design Concrete and Paving entered this outstanding project below into the landscapes of Distinction awards for 2022 in the category residential project up to $100,000 it was an honour to receive a Bronze for this project !

Our lovely clients were looking to enhance the front of their property and also add security.

By Design Concrete and Paving delivered this solid block and steel fence with a specially designed automatic gate. The team excavated and contoured the site, laid paved garden edging, Firth concrete block retaining wall, timber screens, steppingstones and soft landscaping features.

The end results speak for themselves.

By Design Concrete and Paving entered this outstanding school project in the landscape of the year awards for 2022, and we were privileged to win silver in the commercial projects up to $100,000 category.

The new ready circle area adds a great area for the kids to sit out of the sun and relax with a book. Our team at By Design Concrete and Paving had to get the koru shape manufacture to create a mould for the black oxide concrete which was to go inside.
